Host Monster is the best hosting I have found. They offer excellent phone and on-line support 24x7, excellent value for the money (disk space, emails, data transfer, and extras), and have not had a single outage since I started using them in November of 2006. If you are hosting a new URL, or considering moving your domain, this is the place.
Combi-Valve Stealth Bolt

The stealth bolts include a new O-ring, and a complete step-by-step to get you going.
I am no longer accepting orders for MirBlinks. Please don't send any money! The manufacturing process for MirBlinks contains steps that only make sense when I have enough requests for systems. Volume was not sufficient to support the effort. For those that have mirrors already, the following information will remain on this site.

These four shots were taken with the car in the same spot...

This photo was taken with the mirror lined up with direct sunlight. Notice the shadow of the pole. The winter sun is low, even at 1:30 p.m. here in Reno. The sun's reflection off the mirror is almost directly into the lens of the camera, yet the red LEDs are clearly visible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, the lights are under the glass!
1. Are the lights sequenced?
The lights come on and go off with the circuit; not with the brake lights. There is no sequence to the illumination pattern. However, the light module is programmable and I will build them in the future.
2. How hard are they to install?
They are unbelievably simple to install. The system comes with two complete OEM mirrors (glass, defogger, and backing plate) pre-wired with lights and a connector. The old mirrors come out of the existing housings and the new ones go in. (Optionally, you can send me your mirrors for modification. I need ten business days for this process.) Someone who is familiar with removing the door panel will blaze through the install in one hour per side. If you haven't removed the door panel before, I would allow two hours per side. I have identified the '95-'96 circuit and the kit comes with detailed instructions. It's simple, when you know where the wire is. The kit comes with a bulb-type circuit tester, just to be sure. I found these great little power taps. They clip onto the existing wires and then a tab on the end of the new wires slips right in. They can even be disconnected by simply pulling the tab out, if need be.
3. Will they work on a '94?
Yes, the light module will work. I have some '94 mirrors on the bench, but no information on the '94 circuit. It's probably very similar. Someone in the group will know exactly where best to connect. Please email me if you know and I will include your information with the installation instructions.
4. What about the defogger?
Because I am not making the mirror (I am adapting my light module to the OEM mirror), the defogger remains untouched. The defogger in the mirror is made almost the same way as the defogger in the rear window. If one of the lines is cut, you get no heat out of it. The mirror defogger is the main reason that the lights are in the arc pattern around the edge.
5. Is red the only color available?
They are available in red and amber. You would think they are all the same, but the amber LEDs require a slightly different circuit and are $20 additional.
6. Are they a distraction for the driver?
No. You will see them; particularly at night. But, the beam of light is focused away from the driver such that the amount of light entering the driver's line-of-sight is very little. One of the photos above is taken from the driver's seat with the tinted window rolled down.
7. Can I change the verbiage on the mirrors?
Yes, but I hope you are sitting down when you learn the price to do so. I don't make the mirrors, but I can customize them. I can also customize the mirrors from your SS, if you are willing to send them to me.
8. How much are they?
The kit for the Impala with red LEDs $229. The amber kit price is $249. Estimate your shipping rate at http://wwwapps.ups.com/servlet/QCCServlet?iso_language=en&iso_country=US using four pounds from ZIP 89511 (Reno, NV USA).
9. If I order them now, when will they ship?
I expect to ship on the closest business day to the 15th of each month. The deadline for ordering is seven days prior.
10. How do I pay for them?
You can use a credit card or cash through PayPal.com, wire transfer, or personal check. Please go to http://www.paypal.com/ and use
